Parents and Friends

The Friends of Billanook was established by College parents in 1980. Over the years, teams of dedicated parent volunteers have raised funds and provided support to benefit and promote the growth and development of the entire Billanook Community.

What They Do

Represent the College

The Friends of Billanook attend information evenings and school tours to welcome families to the College and to provide a parent’s perspective of the school.

Coffee Mornings- Great coffee and great conversation!

Coffee mornings are held every month as an opportunity for new and existing parents to catch up, chat and learn more about the College.

Events & Fundraising

The Friends of Billanook create an annual timetable of fundraising events, and meet twice a term to finalise arrangements. A Co-ordinator is assigned to run each event and sub teams are created to carry out the planning and organisation. A list of past and present projects is included below.


Previously completed projects that the Friends of Billanook have paid for or assisted with:

Re-surfacing the Year 8 basketball court with flexipave
Alan Ross Centre stage curtains and lighting ($180,000)
Electronic notice boards throughout the entire College
Purchase of vineyard land – gifted to the College
Playground equipment for the Primary School
Air conditioning in Primary School

Current Major Fundraising Goal:
Re-surfacing the multipurpose recreational court next to Brushy Creek.
