Changing School in the Senior Years

Some students may feel anxious about the uncertainties of starting a new school. New students can be assured we make every effort to make them welcome and well prepared for the change. Our students are renowned for their friendliness towards, and acceptance of, new students.

Our new students’ morning, new students’ luncheon, buddy system and individual interviews provide students with the security of knowing procedures, locations and a few friendly faces before they commence their studies in the Senior School.

New students are able to access careers advice and course planning in preparation for joining the Billanook Community.

Many students decide to start their Billanook experience in the Senior School. These students join our community to take advantage of the breadth of curriculum, careers counselling, calibre of teaching staff and supportive pastoral environment.

Year 10 is a time of new beginnings for all Billanook students as our Middle School students move into the Senior School to begin their preparations for VCE and life beyond School.

We also welcome new students into Year 11 at the commencement of VCE.
