An enriching life of openness, confidence, curiosity and independent thinking begins at Billanook.
Children in our Early Learning Program are challenged to learn in a way that is joyful and engaging, with the focus being on the individual needs of every child.
The learning journey at Billanook College commences with the Early Learning Program (ELP) and provides for a seamless transition into the Primary years.
Being part of the ELP, situated in our Early Years Centre, enables children access to resources and opportunities as part of the wider Billanook community.
The principles that underpin the Billanook College ELP have their foundation in the Victorian Early Years’ Learning and Development Framework.
We recognise that a considered transition assists children to make a positive start to their Billanook journey. Children are more likely to feel comfortable, valued, build strong relationships and have a sense of belonging. Ultimately, transition helps them to feel settled and improves their chances of learning to the best of their ability.
A comprehensive Transition Program has been developed to engage our Early Learners, when they enter the Program, and also in readiness for their progression into Prep.
